VINYASA YOGA – ALL LEVELS

Vinyasa Yoga all level classes are customized to serve the needs of a mixed group. Everybody is welcome to join the dynamic practice! The yoga poses are strung together into flowing sequences. The continual flow gradually broadens the capacity of the body. The practice includes diverse sun salutations, balances, standing and seated poses. Different options and modifications are offered to adapt to individual needs. Alongside dynamic movement, the class incorporates subtle aspects of yoga such as breath work and meditation.  It concludes with stretching, cooling down and final relaxation.

BASIC VINYASA – LEVEL I-II

Basic Vinyasa is a dynamic and strengthening practice suitable for yoga beginners and practitioners with prior experience.

Particular focus is placed on creating a strong base by learning key yoga poses and the foundations of Vinyasa yoga. Understanding how to connect breath and movement is the first step towards integrating body and mind. The yoga poses are practiced within flowing sequences to build up heat and improve coordination and balance. The class also holds space for slow stretches, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques.

ADVANCED VINYASA – LEVEL II-III

Advanced Vinyasa is a dynamic and powerful yoga practice for experienced practitioners.

This stimulating and energetic flow is characterized by challenging movement sequences, complex Asanas, balances and inversions. It increases your stamina, strengthens the whole body and takes you out of your comfort zone. At the end of the class we focus on Pranayama, cooling down and meditation to counter balance the heated energy. Advanced yoga practice also includes yogic philosophy, ethics and holistic techniques.

MORNING POWER

Start your day with an energizing yoga practice.

In this early morning class we wake up and activate the whole system with a thorough warm up and breath work. We activate the core of the body and align the torso and the spine. We practice several sets of sun salutations to get the body moving. They are completed by a series of balance poses and strengthening exercises to set the energy for the day. Shared ideas and practices of yogic meditation help to refresh the mind and senses.

YOGA AT NOON

Center yourself with a mindful yoga practice in the middle of the day.

This dynamic yoga practice helps to loosen the body and settle the mind. We move through a set of playful yoga sequences and nourishing Asanas. Through precise alignment we manifest clarity and focus. During spring and summer yoga at noon takes place at our garden and you get to enjoy some open air feeling.

HATHA YOGA

Hatha Yoga is a traditional form of yoga. It literally means joining or balancing opposite energies.

In this practice we work with alternating physical contraction and release. We move through dynamic exercises and experience stillness. The stimulating part of the practice consists of sun salutations, inversions, arm balances and back bends. The cooling sections include hip opening, forward folding, twisting and full body relaxation. Classical techniques of Pranayama, Mudra, Bandha and Mantra are introduced to open and seal the practice.

Gentle Flow

GENTLE FLOW & RELAXATION

This class is designed to end the week with a gently flowing yoga practice. Moreover it works as an addition to dynamic yoga or other sports.

During the practice we mindfully move the body through a series of floor work followed by seated and standing poses. Slow movement sequences alternate with moments of silence, where the body is placed in restorative poses. Using various yoga props we support the body to relax and let go. The class includes themes for internal reflection and aims to release tension physically and mentally.

YOGA FOR THE BACK & SHOULDERS

This practice is an effective method to prevent pain and ease accumulated tension in the upper body. A strong torso is the foundation for a healthy, stable physique.

With a set of exercises and movement sequences we mobilize and strengthen the structures around the spine. We activate the entire body, work on alignment and stabilize the core. Restorative poses and long-held stretches help to release blockades around the neck, chest, hips and shoulders.

YIN YOGA

Yin Yoga is a slow, regenerating yoga method. It invites us to ease down and pause.

This practice stimulates the calming branch of the nervous system, which serves metabolism, regeneration and resilience.  The body is guided into seated and reclined poses, which are held for three to ten minutes. The connective tissues (fascia) are gently opened and elongated. The support of the floor allows you to let go and experience deep levels of relaxation and clarity.
